Could someone with offroading experience with both the V-10 and PSD comment on how significant the additional weight of the PSD is when it comes to offroad performance?
Petersons mag built a PSD and wheeled the crap out of it. I never saw a negative comment on the weight.....however it ended up with quite a bit of body damage because of the size......either that or Pewe cant drive.
Hurst, in the Dallas Fortworth area is where i used to live. i now live in Iowa
i know what you mean about not paying for it, you should see how i wheel my dads jeep! also i would be trying to rip that plastic crap off my truck too!
What part of Iowa? I just bought my pick-up, and I've only owned EFI vehicles in the past, I'm looking for somebody who knows their way around a carb to show me the ropes.
You guys read 4WOR, you know that they're Chevy biased. Pewe hasn't been able to drive since he came on board. Plus the power of the PSD scares him. Anyway, the only problem they had with the weight was the fact that here in the last couple months, the lift blocks are crumbling, and when that happens, wah-lah, instant bent shocks. Guess thats what you get when wheeling a 9500 lb. truck. Heck, I love that truck, wish I had one of my own. Oh well, back to la-la land.
That is what is refered to as the "Ultimate Super Duty", I would love to have that truck. 4WOR nicknamed it the parts breaker. They wheeled the crap out of it. They also put 44's on it. THe PSD has the power to move the truck, however numerous drivetrain and suspension parts have already been broken. I remember reading the list of all the parts they broke on that truck. When I get off work tomorrow I will post them.
I thought the tires were 46's? And then for this years Ultimate Adventure they put a set of those pre-production BFG's on it, like 39 inches tall, to ease the stress on the drivetrain.

They are 44's or 46's, not sure but either way they are freakin huge.
