Need a new trany
My son called me and gave me the bad news his transmission died. He has over 90,000 miles on it the truck it is a F-150 1997 4.6 4x4 he put Detroit Lockerd front and back and 4.11 gears with all new bearings then had the truck painted it looks like a new truck.
Then his transmission went. My question is can he get a transmission that is made better than the stock one? This has always been the weak point with this truck. He uses this truck at his job and it works very hard, but he keeps it clean. This has made his dad very proud. Any help is this area will be put to use!
