The original rubber cab mounts on my '50 F1 are history, so I bought a new set. I found where to put the small 4 up front (2 each side), but I can't figure where the 2 big rear mounts go. Can anyone help? Thanks.
The rear mount bushings are similar to shock mount bushings - little tubes that slide inside the control arms on that suspended mount system.
You have to unbolt the unique suspension arms from both brackets on the cab and frame. Remove the 10-12" arms and you'll see the old bushings in the ends.
There are also foam rubber snubbers that just wedge into the mount before re-installing the arm. They only fit one way and make it difficult to put the arm in place without the weight of the cab on it. Replace one side at a time.
