my 4.0 in my navajo has oil disappinging overnight
i parked it last night full and when i checked it today 1/4 quart is gone no oil on the ground???? i suspect a seal is leakin someware eather the valve cover or the oil panif anyone has had this problem before and knows how to fix please let me know????
Does the engine blow smoke on initial start up? If so, your valve guides are worn. Also, you may be losing oil via the rear main seal into the bell housing. Finally, make sure you are parked on a level surface when checking the oil level.
someone told me to check the 2 middle plugs to see it their is oil on them and if thier is it means the lower intake gasket is gone but i checked them they are just a black smooth color not oily and i checked the back rear drivers side and the same thing so i have no idea were the oil is going hopefully someone here will shine some light on this
1 quart of oil will last about a week to 1.5 weeks then the oil light comes on and it is down a quart but if i let is sit it loses the oil quicker than if it was running it is not dripping on the ground at all everything looks tight not much oil seepage
