PP: Welcome to FTE! You 've come to a good place with lots of good people to help you out. Now on to your question:
Adding PS to a '64 or earlier truck involves major modifications, according to those who have done it.
I recommend you search FTE here for details. Make sure you check the year of the truck under discussion, because the entire undercarriage and suspension changed for '65. You can make this swap easily if you have a '65 or later, but not if it is a '64 or earlier.
Now, there is one possibility that may make this work for you. There are hints and rumors out there that some late '64s were actually '65s. Check your front axle. If you have one axle underneath, you have the '64 and earlier suspension.
If you have twin I-beams, you have a '65 and later type, and the PS swap will be easier.
