Hi all.I was wondering if any of you with heated seats figured out a way to make them stay in the on position after the truck is shut off then started again.I would like to leave the button on so when i hit the remote start the next morning the seats will be toasty when i get in.
anything is possible!!!!!!
on your remote start, does it have any extra output relays?
i know some alarm remotes have extra output functions that can be
programed in.
I should say that I hope someone has a solution as I run into the same problem with my rear window defroster. I must actuate it with the ignition on for it to work, just like the seats most of y'all have.
It would be nice to have that come on when I hit the remote start. My wife is getting tired of me sending her out to clean off the snow AN turn on the back defroster on those cold snowy mornings. I, myself, don't see the problem really. I mean, come on, she's gotta go out to shovel the driveway anyway!

The visions! How do I get that image out of my brain!?! Ick...I need some whiskey........

Nick! in looking at the wiring diagrams for 2002
Under climate controlled seats
this doesn't seem like to hard of a mod if your remote switch has extra ouputs to trigger options or relays from its main unit.
I don't have my owners manual ,its out in the truck ,i don't have heated seats ,how do they work is there a temp selection switch along with the switch that turns in on ?
via diagram it looks like there is a potentiometer or slide switch that sets heat output, and a switch that turns them on after car is running.
also is this timed control or a temp controll that turns them off?
A relay would be needed to be used in conjuction with the switch that turns them on.
then that relay could be triggered by the output from your aux button on your remote.
I havent looked into the wiring yet,but all there is is a button that you push to turn them on.As far as i can tell, they stay on till you shut them off or shut the truck down and there is only a one temp.setting.Im guessing the whole circut must not be that complicated.
Speaking of manuals.I have seen manuals on cd-rom for sale at e-bay.Do you know if there any good,or should i just get a hanes manual?
