Brake Light Problems

Hi everyone Im New Here! Need Help!
To start out I have a 67 Ranger w/ AC. My bigest problem is the brake lights. As you may have guessed the wiring is a nightmare. My question is, is the brake light switch the small attachment on the brake linr right after the master cylinder? The guy that had this truck before me must have thought he was an electrical wiz because its going to take weeks to get it straight. Also does anyone....not all at once please... know where I can get replacement trim for the exterior. Thanks All!!!!

the brake light switch is mounted on the brake pedal inside the cab. the little thing on the line is the proportioning valve and the wire comming out of it go the the brake faliure warning light. you can buy replacement trim out of most of the parts books

The brake light switch is under the dash, attached to the brake pedal. Plastic, about three inches long, with two wires attached. Usually red. Here on-line (menu on the right) read the tech article on stop lamps for older Ford trucks.

I dont have any switch on the pedal or any where inside the cab! This is very confusing! Im looking for any help at all. Ive heard about switches on the master cylinder but cant find one????
