grease fittings

My grease gun works fine on my 79 f150 front end fittings, but just got a 03 and the gun wont lock on to the grease fittings. Are the fittings now metric , or does anyone what has changed?

They could have possibly have been changed. You could maybe go out and buy new fittings for the 03 that would work with the old gun.

Are you sure you HAVE fittings? 'cause mine only has two (on the idler arm) which DO lock on my old grease gun, but none on the ball joints or steering links.
