I bought a 2000 F350 crew cab last week. Love the truck, but this morning I notice that there is water on the floor. It does not have carpet, so nothing is getting hurt, but I want to get it stopped. Is there a common place where these trucks leak through? The water is mostly on the passenger side front, but there is some on the driver side too.
I haven't heard of any spot that's more likely than others on these trucks, but I'd check the base of the windshield. If you've lost the seal there, water can come in and run down behind the dash. Bad.
I agree check the windshield. Take some very soapy water and spread the suds around the edge of the windshield. Turn your defroster on and the fan on high. Close all the windows and doors, then check to see if there's any air bubbles. Little trick I've learned from doing warranty work.
Not sure about the Super Duty but sometimes debris can clog the drain from the A/C evaporator. the condensate thus has nowhere to go and ends up on the floor. Like I said not sure about the ford but one thing to check.

I lifted the vinl floor (no carpet yet) up and found lots of water under it on the passenger side. I checked at the firewall, and there is dust up there, indicating that no water is running down the inside of the firewall. I looked inside the kick panel on the right side, and it's dry there too. I can't see any holes in the bottom (missing plugs or whatever) where water could be coming in from below.
