Is it possible to swap out the bed from a '72 f100 xlt ranger with a different bed. The bed I have on my 72 is completly rusted through in the floor. so bad that i am affraid to walk on it or put anythig with weight to it in the bed. I am haveing a hard time finding a replacement bed for it in the yards or the parts catalog I have. Is it possible to put another trucks bed on here?
Hi jndeere yes you can swap beds from 1967-1972
It is not to hard just 6 bolts and tail light wires
If your bed is that rusted you may have to cut the bolts out
As for finding a replacement bed I bought a doner truck with a good bed and a nice alum grill for $600.00 ( engen was shot )
now I can sell the hood, doors, power steering and power brakes for more than 600 to get free bed and grill.
Thanks guys. Flex what year truck do you have to part out? Please tell me it is a 72 f100xlt!! I am also looking for a hood to replace the one if have. my e-mail is jndeere01@hotmail.com
YA see what I meam ! I have already sold the parts
for a total of $900 . you don"t want to pay shipping
on a hood from washington state to virginia.
just keep looking in local want adds for a parts truck
close to you . A lot of non running trucks to buy.
If you need a bed and a hood it will pay you to buy
a truck take what you want and sell the rest '
