84 300-inline six

I am having a problem getting rid of exhaust leak where exhaust manifold meets head-anybody have sopme hints about mounting intake/exhaust? old one had a crack around bottom of header

take the intake/exhaust apart have the exhaust manifold resurfaced. put a new intake/exhaust manifold gasket on the engine block glue it there if you have to. now put the bolts back in that hold the intake and exhaust manifolds togather but do not tighten just bring the two pieces to gather then install the manifold to the block after that is done then tighten the bolts holding the two halves togather.

somthing you might also look at is the bolts. the threads might be worn enough to prevent a proper fit.

Thanks for the ideas. Bolts/studs in good shape, it is the bottom side of the manifold that does not seem to be sealing good. I have heard great things about this motor, good power/gas mileage, runs forever etc. but this is annoying, all my other Fords are V8s-460, 352, so this is new territory for me working with a inline six.
