I have this vynal/plastic stuff down in my truck now and it is spliting very badly around the stick and all from where the idiots before me tried to remove the trans. It looks horribale and I am wanting to replace it and the insalation with fresh carpet and insalation.
How hard is this to do wiht just a peice of carpet that you can get from the apolstry shop. (same place I got my headliner material)
Is this something that my dad and I can tackle with a little common since and some patience, or something that to be done right and to look good needs to be done by the apolstry shop?
I mananged to do the headerliner very well and proud to say I did that all by myself. But this requires more cutting and other things to go around.
Try JC Whitney. They've got all kinds of pre-molded carpets for nearly every vehicle ever made, and they're reasonably priced. You'll pay a little more than you would for a remnant from a carpet store, but the ease of installation is MORE than worth the extra cost. Not to mention it's gonna look a whole lot better.
