Radio Wires
I have a 1990 Ford F-250 4x4 and i have a problem. I got the truck and it did not have a radio in it. I have a CD player that i want to put in it, but i dont know what any of the wires go to because they are not marked. Can u help me.

You need to buy a wiring kit for the trucks model and it will plug into the old wires and then the new wires connect to the wires from the radio.

Does it have a harness? If it has a harness you will need to buy a 5 dollar harness to clip on to it. If the harness has been cut off you can goto http://www.installdr.com and get the wiring diagram there.

it has a harness but the wires are not the same colors. what luck.
if anybody knows what colors do what i would be very appriciative. i bought a Childers book but it has everything except radio wiring diagrams. thanks anyway

If the truck has a harness, just go to a store like best buy and get a harness to connect to the aftermarket radio that just plugs into the factory wiring. Then you don't have to worry about what wire goes where.

Don't worry about the factory harness, just get a harness to plug into it at a Wal-Mart (A harness to connect to your CD player) all the colors on that will be the same as your CD player. So all you have to do is match the colors on your CD player to the harness, then plug it into your truck's harness and you'll be done.
