Aftermarket Bumper Problem?

Aftermarket Bumper Problem?
I got a new aftermarket rear step bumper for my 94 F-150. Its for a normal truck bed but is about an inch off each side with the OEM brackets. Does the aftermarket need a new bracket set of its own. Just wondering if others ran into this. New bumper and original brackets dont work.

Thanks......I was so pissed that when I took my old rusty one off that the new one didnt fit....First application that I came across that the OEM parts didnt mate up exactly....suppose I will get used to it for the next job...
