wiper park position

I've replaced the wiper motor on a 95 Ranger, XLT Supercab, 2.3L, 2wd, manual. The problem I have now is that the wiper park position is with the wipers up, not down.

Welcome to FTE jbennyh.
Sounds to me like you've put the lever on the wiper motor output shaft 180* off (upside down).

Yes, but we followed the tech instructions about marking the position of the lever and installing it in the same position. Do the new motors come in any present position?
