I am looking for Superduty owners that have had problems with the brakes on the Superduty trucks. I have had mine in 4 times getting the rotors turned or replaced, and it is time again. My father also has a 99 superduty but with only 40,000 miles, and he has had his in 3 times and is in the 4th now for the same thing. What can we do? Is there an aftermarket system that con be purchaced. I think that Ford should be made aware of all the owners that are having problems.

I have had mine in 3 times (65,000) miles. dealer told me that they installed a updated rotor, but have problem again. now no warrenty. let me know if you come up with something. I have had more weight on my 1984 ford diesel with no brake problems at all.
My SD has 33,000 miles on it. Its been in 2 times for turning rotors. Yesterday, they replaced the rotors and pads because my warranty is up TODAY.... I know 'll have to replace them again...
Perhaps....hmmm.... who can I call..... hmmmm.... maybe I can call Carolina Clutch
Just teasing a little but I will, in all seriousness, probably buy my next set of rotors from carolina clutch. Apparently they're very good rotors/pads.
I too have had my SD in twice in the last two years to take care of a SHIMMY when braking at 50 MPH. Dealer essentially told me that there whas nothing more that could be done under warranty. I plan to take it in one more time before the warranty expires at 36K for yet another machining.
This prolem is pervasive enough that Ford should address it with new caliper, pads & rotors if needed to solve the problem.
