Question Bed liners

I just picked up a new F-250 6.0 and would like to get something to portect the bed. I live in the desert, so dont' have a problem with rust and such, but would like something to keep cargo from sliding around. Does anyone have any experience with either Rhino oiner of Line-X? I do get in some snow and rain occasionally, so woudl like to stay away form palstic and rubber liners.

Thanks,

I put a line-x box liner in our '04 king ranch 6.0 crew cab. the truck is white with arizona beige on the bottom. THe were able to match the box liner color to the plastic on top of the box from the factory (light brown). the match was extremmily close can't tell a difference. We live in Alberta Canada and the snow doesn't cause any slippage like the plastic box liners do.

According to the posts I've read about spray-on bedliners here on FTE, Line X spray on seems to be more durable. More people seem to have Line X than any other brand, and fewer people expressed negative feedback about the Line X vs. other brands.

Just reiterating what I've read here...

Thanks for the input - I'll check them both out. I haven't heard anything either good or bad about either...

I have a Line-X lining in my truck and it works greats...

Some thoughts

- Everyone will tell you their brand of spray-in liner is the best because that's what they bought.

- Go look at trucks with various liner brands... Some wear better than others... Some are smoother, rougher, slicker, etc... Some of the smoothness/roughness is based on how the applicator sprays the finishing layer. The Walmart parking lot usually has a lot of trucks in it.

- I have found the Line-X material is harder than the Rhino, but the Rhino is put on in a thicker layer & has more give (shock absorbancy)... One bud of mine said he gouged his Rhino while shoveling dirt out of his truck. You would have to work hard to gouge my Line-X, but it could be done. OBTW, Rhino fixed the gouge for free.

- Get some color other than black. Some of the liners in black go dull and turn chalky. Also, I have lived in Arizona twice in my life and I don't have to tell you about the sun & heat. My lining is grey to match the bed rail caps & interior of the truck. Looks good and is cooler than black.

- Get the one you want and enjoy it!

Line-X

Thanks Edmo - I don't remember seeing a lot of liners around, but probably because I wasn't looking. I don't do a lot of rough stuff in the bed, but want something permanent. I was up north last weekend, had to shovel snow out of the bed and fell on my butt. I don't know how they got the bed that slippery!

I have a Line-x. I chose it because of the warranty. They both have a lifetime warranty but, line-x is nationwide any dealer will fix anothers work if needed. Rhino had to be taken back to the dealer who installed it.

I chose the Line-X because it is closest to my house and the warranty suited me better. I like the hard rough surface and even wet things don't slide very easy. My truck is white and I went with the black so the sun reflection doesn't blind you when your working out of the bed. Go to both dealers and see what you like the best, you won't be disappointed either way.

Thanks to RJB1 and aketay - I'll visit both and see who I get the best "vibe" from - I do like the national warranty on the Line-X - I get around quite a bit.

I had a Rhino in my 99 and didn't care for it since it seem to fade and was really slick as mention above. I work and a sports arena and during an event went and checked out alot of different trucks and found the two I liked the best were Line-x and bulletproof. I couldn't find anything on the bulletproof (didn't really look to hard though). My neighbor had the bulletproof and for a short bed was charged 648 compared to 430 for line-x.
I will be getting the line-x installed on 7 Jan.

Had Line-X in an '01 Supercrew and am having it put in my new '04 KR350.

A bud of mine has Rhino; it feels a little too tacky and spongy to me...I'll stick w/ Line-X.

Thanks Badger - I looked at one of each and came to the same conclusion - the Line-X feels like it will last longer. Looks like that's the one..

I have Line-X on mine. For Christmas I got a rubber bedmat and put that on top of the Line-X. Looks sharp and easy on the knees.
