Suspension????????
Thanks for any help.
>new longer spring hangers?
No, the purpose of the hangers is to raise the front and retain the stock ride quality,
your just lowering the mount point is all.
Also most leveling kits don't affect the rear of the truck only the front, to bring the front up level with the rear.
Yeti and others, ever heard of BDS Suspension? They've got a 2.5" shackle and stabilizer levelling kit for $600 CAN ($375 USD). The kit uses the stock springs and the price doesn't include shocks. The Fabtech kit is $1100 CAN ($700 USD) with no shocks.
I'm liking the price of the BDS unit, and it looks like good quality too. www.bds-suspension.com
Next question, are shocks really needed? It seems to me that my truck has probably sagged 2" since new. The only problem I can see is if the front suspension went to max. travel (ie. I got my truck airborne
) the shock may not be long enough. Otherwise, it would seem to me that the stock shocks should work just fine as the trucks seem to have a lot of ride-in or sag built in to the suspension travel. I'd replace the shocks with better ones that are the proper length when the time comes that the stockers are toast (and a little more money has trickled into the well
).I'd appreciate nay thoughts.

Yes, but I have not seen their product, I know someone here runs BDS and loves it.

You could pop one off, fully extend it and see if you think you will have enough travel
I think with a leveling kit of 2.5 you would be ok with the stock shocks, thats assuming your not off roading and sticking mostly to streets.
3MTA3,

I think if you go with a 4" that is considered a lift and will involve a lot more work and include replacing the track bar bracket, possibly a drop pitman arm and also lifting the rear a bit.
Also shocks will need to be replaced. You will be able to run a 35 with no trouble at all.
I guess it comes down to how involved you want to get.
To me bigger is better!
