Brake Problems-PLEASE help!!!
hi, the vehicle in quesiton is a fullsize 87 EB bronco, auto, ABS, power everything...neways
the problem is, the "alert" lights for "ABS" and "REAR BRAKES" come on whenever i hit the brakes..after starting up, and they dont shut off until the vehicle gets shut off, the brakes have been check..all are in good condition, they were replaced a year and a half ago or so.
The mechanic is baffled why it does this, and we have no idea whats wrong, the problem isnt the light, its the performance of the ABS, it doesnt work.
It locks up, never "jerks" like an ABS system should, and its caused an accident in the near past....slid and didnt stop, it doesnt "lock up" on stops all the time, just tempermental, its really bad on wet blacktop, and thats only going 30-35 mph.
Is this an electronics problem, or a mechanical problem?
