front suspension question

So I put Timbrens on the front of my truck to get it ready for the plow. After I put them on, there was almost 2" between the Timbrens and the axle. After the plow was put on, there was no space, btu the Timbrens were not compressed. Now that the plow is off, the Timbrens are still resting on the axle. I don't have any, I repeat, any front suspension. It hurts to go over any bumps. How bad is this for my truck? It has the TTB setup. I an going to get Xsprings when i can afford them, but that may not be for a couple of months. Would helper springs help anything for the time being, or not since the leafs are already weakend. Thanx in andvance for any help.

Go down to NAPA and get Firestone Ride Rite Air bags for the front axle. They sit on the springs and you mount the top bracket on the frame right behind the shocks. When you put the plow on add air. Mine cost about 300 for an 86 F250. They have been on there for 7 years and work great for the plow since it is easy to adjust the air. Made my truck ride better even when the plow was off due to more clearance between the axle and the frame stop. I run around 20# when the plow is off and about 80# with the plow on.
