[updated:LAST EDITED ON 27-Oct-02 AT 01:30 PM (EST)]Where in the Atlanta area can I have A-piller gauges installed?
Went to dealer where I bought truck they asked $1,000 for parts and install. Wanted $600.00 for muffler install. Then called me back and said they are on hold with high performance install due to being bought by Ford.
Dam...parts shouldn't be more than $200 bucks, depending on what guages you want to run. I paid $40 for my double pillar and $50 a a piece for my auto meters.
Seems they are raking you over on labor a bit!!
Don't tell me I am the only power stroke owner in North Ga. that wants to install gauges. I wanted them installed before the week of the 25th of November. I will be driving to Ohio ( Dresden ) that week
with wife. No I am not excited about the trip but will get to drive my wheels.
Please can someone direct me to a good shop here in Atlanta area.

>where did you get the pillar gauge pods? are they hard to
>instal?
I have a double gauge pillar, made by Auto Meter, fits 2 1/16 gauges.
I have a trani temp and oil temp.
Pillar monuts with 2 sided tape or the push in pins they supply, run the wires inside the A pillar under the dash ,then out to your engine compartment.
Not to hard of a jo if your handy with the tools.
For us old guys who need the extra grab handle on the drivers side
and can not use the a-pillar .I have a carbon fiber(apc) 3 guage mount on the dash in the center below the mirror. (trans temp, oil press, water temp)
Wow, are You in a great location! Check out www.fordspecialists.com, they are located in Douglasville, GA, the phone# is 770-949-7191. One of the owners is Doug Lewis, I have known Doug for about 9 years. He is one of the best Ford Techs in the Country. They specialize in the PSD's. They carry all the "goodies", and do excellent work! I wish, I did not live 800 miles away from them. Doug will be straight up with You, and tell You what works, and what does not. They should be able to handle all of Your needs, and make Your wish list longer!
Highway Prisoner, just what I was looking for. I made the call today
and will have in his shop next week. If you would look at a map I am very very close to their shop. You da man
Hey Ford 2002, keep us posted on the new guages etc. I think You misunderstood the 800 miles thing. I live about 800 miles from Doug's shop. I am hoping to get down there for a few things, the Visa card wiil get a serious dent.
