Flywheel Woes
1978 F150 351M with c-6 auto
The old factory starter went out so I replaced it with an autozone one, that lasted two weeks. It started throwing out wrong and damaging my flywheel but it was too late, by the time I got my new starter and a shim it makes a horrible noise when starting and theres so bad a place on the flywheel that i have to get under the truck and rotate the engine a hair by the harmonic balancer (yes i know this is not the safest, but to get her cranked you do what you gotta do) ok so here it goes. I need a new flywheel, yes, but which one do I use? I see several different ones on sites some for 40 some for 63, some with different teeth and diff diameter holes. my vin is F15HNCE4726 if that helps.
