The last few nights I have been sitting here and all the sudden my 98 Ranger will just start honking, just like someone pressed the panic button. There has been no contact to the truck by anyone whatsoever. I have one transmitter on my key chain and the other is in my parents' safe, and I have not pushed it. What the heck is the problem?!
I had an aftermarket alarm do that - it was the transmitter on the keychain. Had been banged around too much and couldn't handle it. Try taking tha battery out and see.

but in any case, my dad's little remote thingy once set another cars panic off in a parking lot. like the frequencies where really close, the same, or just got crossed. i still laugh about the guy standing next to his own car and us hiding behind our truck and pressing the button. he looked liek he crapped himself! it was hilarious!!!
