STARTING PROBLEM

First off, please do two things.

1. Please do not use all caps.

2. Please attempt to use puncuation so that we can understand what you are trying to ask.

>HELLO I HAVE A 2001 SD CC 4X4 SB DIESEL SUPERCHIP MICROTUNER WITH 47500 MILES IN NORTHERN MICHIGAN BOUGHT THE TRUCK NOVEMBER-01

You have a 2001 PSD truck with a SCMT and 47.5K miles that you bought last November.

>LAST WINTER IT STARTED GOOD VERY RARELY THOUGH A FIT

It started okay last winter.

>MAYBE ONCE A MONTH IN VERY COLD MORNING WHEN YOU GO TO START TURN KEY ON TO RUN GLOW PLUGS THEN START THE MOTOR WILL START THEN REV UPANDDOWN AT 500-800RPM WILL SHAKE TRUCK THEN STALL

After the glowplugs were warmed it would start and only idle at around 500-800 rpm and shake the truck and then stall.

>RESTART SAME WAY SOMETIME SOMETIME WILL RUN SMOOTH THIS WINTER IS JUST STARTING DOES THIS AT EVERY COLD START NEED IDEAS

Sometimes when you restart it it will behave the same way and sometimes run smooth. THIS winter it is starting and running like described above all the time. You need ideas.

---------

I'm assuming I translated it correctly. And please take NO offense to this. Our desire (all of us here) is to help you in anyway that we can but a clear understanding of your problem is in order.

My first thought is that you have one or more glowplugs not operating correctly. I also suspect your fuel quality & filtration.

Does it act this way if you use the block heater?
What is the ambient temp when this occurs?
Does it do it without the SCMT tune?
Have you put it back to stock and see if the problem persists?

STARTING PROBLEM

QUESTION >Does it act this way if you use the block heater?
ANSWER Haven`t used block heater this fall. Last year only used it when temperature got to 10 degrees or less. Then started fine.
QUESTION>What is the ambient temp when this occurs?
ANSWER Temperature below 30 degrees.
QUESTION>Does it do it without the SCMT tune?
ANSWER Didn`t remove will try today.
QUESTION>Have you put it back to stock and see if the problem
persists?
>After the glowplugs were warmed it would start and only idle at around 500-800 rpm and shake the truck and then stall.
CLARIFICATION Will rev between 500-800 rpms reving up and down causing truck to shake(engine run very ruff).
Does this make more sense?
How can I check glow plugs?
Thanks for assistance.

STARTING PROBLEM

You probably also want to post this in the Diesel forum located right next to this one on the page with the forum listings. There are many knowledgable diesel owners there that don't go to this forum as much. Please don't take this as being negative in any way. Many here in this forum will help if at all possible.I just think your odds for some answers are better in the diesel forum.
