Does your truck still do this??
I would pull the OD switch itself and see if the wires are broken, chaffed etc. I have seen others that suffer from these problems and it is the OD override button wires themselves and not internal in the tranny.
I lived in Dallas until moving to North Texas this year. I had the same problem back in the spring of 01 when we had all the rainy weather.
Go back to the messages on #2638 for some more info about the problem.
If your truck is still under warranty I suggest that Ford Country of Lewisville would be the place to go as they finally figured out my problem.
[updated:LAST EDITED ON 24-Oct-02 AT 08:46 AM (EST)]Hello Folk's,
I recently experianced the OD light blinking on and off while pulling my 27' toy hauler up the I-5 grape vine. I fueled up shortly after and turned off the truck to see if it would clear, and it did. Hasn't happend again since. This occured last week.
