Header install in progress
Ill let ya know how it turns out
Erick
What truck and motor do you have? What brand/type of header did you get? How's the fitment? (excluding the hiccup you described above). Any clearance problems?
Thanks, and good luck with the rest of the tear-down and install.

Gibson swept-side alum. cat-back; Pioneer7500+12-CD changer; Kicker 8"subwoof & Kicker 789w amp; MB Quart speakers; Stull Vertical grill set; Hella 450 amber fogs.
to come: Manik wheel-to-wheel black powdercoat step; AF1 c.a.i.; Diablo tranny valve shifter (firm, not race!); Bridgestone Revo 285/75X16's on Eagle Alloys; backup light setup.
Haven't done either yet, sorry. The Michelin 235/85's still have some meat left on them. I'll do the Revo 285/75's , Eagle Alloys and leveling kit all at the same time.
I am calling tomorrow to have a real PRO tranny shop do the 60K tranny service and while they're in there, they said they'd do the tranny valve also, probably at no extra cost. I'll let you know how it drives/shifts afterward. They're good guys, they really know their stuff, and they tend to go an extra mile for those of us in the local hot rod club.
BTW, I got the Diablo "firm" shift, not the hardcore "race" shifter valve since I have no intention o racing offroad (orn on-road for that matter!).
Sorry, no pix yet... I did take some Day 1 pix when I brought it home. So, once I get all the goodies on it, I'll post all the pix to show the goods! Thanks for the reply...

I have a 2000 F-350 Lareit LE Dually..
V-10 motor,
Headers were from a company called Custom Chrome, they sell them on E-bay,
Fit was ok, i had to enlarge the holes on the flange that bolts to the head on the drivers side to get the holes to line up..
Pass side went on great except you have to put a dent in one of the tubes on the header cause it hits the frame rail..
other then that they were easy to put on as long as you have the time and patience. I had no problem getting the bolts in and tight on pass side,
Drivers side, 3 bolts were alittle tuff to get tight..

I'm kind of leaning toward either Gibson or JBA on the headers for my truck. Sorry to hear about your install misfortunes, but hope all is well, up and running now! thanks for the feedback...
