My Christmas
I had to get a service place do it last time, because of location, and that is where the problem started.. They presumably had a 10 foot gorilla under there, who tightened the filter so darn tight, it took me over an HOUR of yanking, banging and cussing to get it to move.......
The drain plug was so tight I was scared to touch it, so changed it for a Formoto Valve..
Why do the people working in Service Bays do things so wrong all the time. What should have taken me 20 minutes, took me all afternoon, and wore me out - never before have I had so much trouble changing the darned oil.. Never again will I go to a lube shop.Nothing else was problematic, the diffs were in good condition, the brakes with plenty of material left, and the tranny behaving well. All the lights are fine, as are the horn, and other bits, and the tires are all inflated properly and with adequate tread, so once again, I get to drive 2000 miles in 24 hours.
I will need another truck at this rate - I bought the '02 in September of last year, and have 60,000 miles on it so far.

What I don't understand is why you need to drive 2000 miles in the next 24 hours.
But, do drive safe, how ever long it takes you.
83.333333 miles per hour for 24 straight is kind of pushing it don't you think? especially with all the lemmings trying to make it home from Christmas. Be careful out there.
