Yes they were originally painted white(corithan white too be exact which is a little bit off white). PC-7 epoxy from your local hardware store is what everybody recommends. Make sure to paint it with a good epoxy paint, otherwise a few years down the road it will wear off. Your truck is a custom cab right? Might try reading back a few pages and I think somebody asked a similar Q. -4speed
