which transfer case

my buddy has a 95 f 150 4x4 and the transfer case is shot. dont know how but it is. im wondering if there is a different transfer case he can just bolt in there as a direct replacement other than the borg warner. maybe a 205 out of an earlier bronco? thanks for the help

all Fords use the Same rouund Bolt pattern on there Tcase. The 205 case can be used with little fab work on the shifter mounts on tranny to allow the 205 shifter to mount.

I would go with the 205, a real tough trasfercase, but really heavy also. I just had to install mine, 3 jacks and 2 people later it is finally in.

I forgot to Add the BW cases aren't to bad, Not as sound as the NP205. The main cause of the BW cases going bad is the Oil pump inside them going bad or glogging with gunk. You can get a rebuild Kit for the BW case cheaper then you can buy a NP205. The cases are a striaght forward rebuild. Just besure to Clean the Case out well if you do and Clean the oil pickup tube and screen as well.
