any suggestions???????????
well i have a 97 f-150 ext cab with 88,000 miles and it seems i have spun a bearing so i hear any way, dumb when it comes to engines, my question is thinking of putting a v8 in instead of trying to fix the v6 4.2.. where can i go around here to find a motor and will that work seeing since it has the v6 currently and what all will have to be changed........

tazman .... just down the road from you here in San Angelo.... I don't know where in Wylie he is, but one of the guys on Monster Garage last week (when they destroyed the 18-wheeler and made it a trike) was a diesel mechanic from wylie texas. he probably has a good idea of what would be needed, or who to put you in touch with.
