slot 1-------> / both slots facing the timing cover and water pump
slot 2-----> /
they had it this way was wondering if its right before i install it and the cam tomorrow and drop the oil pan to clean it. i need surgery monday and the weather man said its gonna rain cats and dogs monday so i gotta get it weather tight before sunday look's like a christmas day project to .
I've run those flipped over when rebuilding an engine (wear side out)to make sure I had a flat surface against the cam. Didn't appear to make any differance or cause any problems.
