ok so im talking to this owner of a tire shop and he's trying to tell me that bfg mud's have a problem with cracking between the treads, now i have never heard of such a thing and wanted to know if that was true. the only tires i have seen do that is good years on the sidewall.
my bfg all terrain are cracking in between the tread, a friend of mine has the bfg mud ones and he loves them and there is no show of cracking on them, but how knows bad tires some times
My set of Maxxis buckshots had some cracks developing between the treads, so i took it down to the shop to have em look at it. They said that was the first set they had seen do it, and they are now on their way up to maxxis for them to inspect them or whatever for warranty.
But this doesn't answer your question does it?
I guess all brands have a bad tire or two roll off the line. I had BFG muds on my previous truck. No problems.
I have a set of the BFG MUD-TERRAIN tires on my Bronco. THey are a year old. I live in AZ and in the summer the asphalt is at least 145 degrees. Also I use these tires off-road 3 times a month!!
Don't take everything people says so literally. I was merely saying that EVERY company has a bad tire occasionally. "A bad tire or two" was just a figure of speech used to express my opinion that bad tires do get by them.
We sell a ton of BFG both muds and A/T in my seven years of dealing with BFG I cant remember running into a "RASH" of cracking tires. As mentioned in an earler reply ANY tire co. will have a few defects , but The Bfg do not have a PROBLEM with cracking.
