surging under hard throttle
My 5.0 is surging under hard throttle at higher rpm's. 1st gear is normal, 2nd gear is bad once you get the rev's up and 3rd will do it slightly above 120km/hour. It only happens when you have the pedal to the floor. My truck doesn't have a tach. There are no stored codes in the computer. Any common problems or idea's?
I have a lead foot and when the hammer needs to be dropped anything less than good performance is not acceptable.....LOL

Is this a Mass air equipped 5.0? You might want to check for any air leaks after the mass air sensor if it is. All air is measured and additional air will cause that type of surging sometimes.
