You can never have too much tools. The more the better. We have 3 cars and I do repair my relatives cars once in a while.
The fuel gauge can really pinpoint a failing fuel pump and no more guessing. Once you have a tool you have it. You don't have to keep driving to autoparts store just to rent one or buy one.
Then again it's your shot. Hopefully the fuel filter will do something.
well i finally got the thing running today runs like a dream. i put on the new fuel filter and scrubbed the plugs and it started right up. im guessing that when i got that little bit more fuel pressure along with the clean plugs it was good enough to go. i had changed the plugs earlier but not after getting the extra fuel pressure. thanks for all the help guys hope it dosent happen again. now im going to sand the whole thing down and do some bodywork and try to paint my first vehicle.
