Just got my Lariat 4X4 SC, White with two tone Bronze. Loaded with Audiophile (excellent). One problem, I am getting an inconsistant wobble/vibration at around 40 mph, 50, 65. I am going to get the tires rebalanced at a local tire store because I dont want to wait 6 hours for the dealer. I am not stupid when it comes to auto mechanics, but it is an unusal feeling. I can feel it in the rear and sometimes in the front and in the steering wheels other times. It does stay constant either.
Anyone else with this problem. I hope it is not a driveline balance problem.
I will know more after I get to a tire store for re-balancing.
I have the 18" LT tire option (Goodyear Wrangler ATS)
Bed looks like its bouncing around sometimes as well.
i know what you mean about the 6 hour wait, but if it was mine i would take it back to the dealer just so you can say that only ford has touched the truck i.e. no confusion as to who is responsible for what. Probably the problem is contained within the tires/wheels. pls post back with what you find.
I get the same feeling in my 2004 Screw FX4. But I think the suspension is so stiff, that it does not smooth out the small bumps. I drive 11 miles to work, & there is a bridge I cross where the truck rides smooth as silk, otherwise the truck feels like it has a vibration. And yes, the box does bounce around a lot. Not saying your truck is "normal", but it might be worth finding a few different roads to drive on. Good luck!!!
I noticed the same thing this weekend. I had a vibration at about 65 to 70 pulling my gig trailer (small 5X8 enclosed). The next day I drove the same road without the trailer and everything was smooth. Doesn't make any sense to me!
I had been driving the same route to work since I got the truck on a wednesday night and only drove it to and from work. I didnt get a chance to drive it on the weekend either. This Morning I made it a point to take it on the freeway and it rode smooth as silk. I only took it up to 75. The weather here has been in the 20's at night and 40's in the day. That probably has something to do with it.
I also think the frame/suspension might be alittle stiff, but it sure does ride great on most surfaces!!! I can drive it all day long especially with the audiophile!
I will monitor it some more, plus I need to check the tire pressure too, I have been to busy, but have the next few days off.

2004 Laritat 4x4 SC. White two tone, 373LS, Audiophile LT tire option. 35 days from order to delivery!!
DJ Big Dog, I have a snowmobile trailer that sits all summer long. When it's time to tow it, the tires have flat spots from sitting so long, and the truck vibrates VERY bad. After a few miles it gets better, but never goes away completely.
Here's the site I found, but I don't claim this is the best source.
I'm going to start a thread about the best source for this info, this site seemed to be missing the Dec. 10th TSB about the outside temp guage inaccuracy.
I have the same truck you do and noticed the same problem for 2500 miles. Obviously, I haven't done anything about it yet, but I will have them balance the tires when I take it to the dealer for service.
Let me know if it's something in the drive train and not just a tire balance problem. By the way, I don't have the LT tires on mine.
I noticed it only happens on this same stretch of road on the way to work. I havent had a chance to drive it around too much because of the holidays and because of the weather. I did take it on the freeway a couple of times with no problems. I still havent taken it in because I hate to be without it so soon.
I will probably wait until spring after I had a chance to drive it different roads and maybe a small road trip.
I think its the stiffer frame with the outside mounted shocks. You get a better all around ride, but with this little wobble as the only downside on certain terrain/roads.
The funny thing about it is that my 2002 Explorer and 1997 F150 have a similar problem on the same stretch of road, but only in the winter?????
