What does 4X4 (Off-Road) mean?

My uncle just bought a used 2000 F250 Xl. It has a 5.4 and is 4x4. i noticed on the bed decals it says 4X4 Off Road. i was wondering if it was a special package and if so what it included or is it just a sticker ford puts on all 4x4s. also the truck has 60,000 miles is their anything that tends to need replacing on these trucks around then. thanks

Here's what it says in the book (I don't have a 2000 book, but a 1999 book. Ahhh.. close enough.)

4X4 Off-Road package:
transfer case and fuel tank skid plates, "Off Road 4X4" decal.
