Lightbulb Experience In Action - or - 2000+

Drunkenmonk got me to thinking (blame this on him).

As you know most likely, Drunkenmonken just celebrated his 1000th post today.

I, looking at his tread, casually glanced over and realized that I at this nanosecond (and probably not much longer than that) am with this message posing my 2001st.

I can't conceive it - I got here the LAST DAY of the month indicated - honest - ask Ken or Dennis to look it up - I'm almost positive it was.

So I clicked on my profile and saw this:

2000 (23.42 posts per day)

And I smiled - big and wide.

The reason for this message is not to tell a joke or celebrate this "2000 post event".

It is to thank each and every single person who types messages to these FTE lists for becoming a tangible POSITIVE part of my life, and for helping to expand my horizons beyond my imagination(s).

The reason this message is in the Pig Pen, is because of the things I cherish most in my life:

Knowledge and Wisdom.

The have produced experience. And that experience has taught me that y'all are gonna rip me up for 2000 posts - 23.4 PER DAY.

Please, enjoy yourselves. You can bet yer' original Hank Williams collection, I will be enjoying you too.

Love,
Fuzzy.

Funny you should mention that, because today I noticed that you and Sinjin joined almost at the same time and you have doubled his posts.... he too has had a lot to say in a short amount of time.... pretty cool to have a place where you can put your mind to work, laugh and get your blood pressure up at times!

Dono, you checks are fine with me ~anytime~. Heck, I don't even need a check - just sign a scrap of paper for me one time and I'm set for the duration.

()
P.S. But no, dang it, I missed that comment.

Oh the burden I must bear - now I learn that I inspire folks.

(98rangerstep, does the term "needing inpatient treatment" ring a bell to you?)

Mr CTFuzzy…

“So many words… so much to say… so much time on your hands?

I have to agree, I enjoy your wit and your banter, for me, mostly from the sidelines. It’s not what you say sometimes that matters, but how you say it… and you do a fine job at both. And unless I misread you, you are willing to focus on this issue and not the messenger…well at least 99% of the time…. (No one’s perfect, )

So you do this for knowledge eh…what have you learned?

Proverbs 12: 1a “Whoever loves instruction loves knowledge….”

Again, thanks for the $40 bucks. (2cents X 2000 posts!)

I have a full time job. Really.

P.S. What I have learned in 2000+ posts is that I ain't nearly as smart as I had thought - much less hoped.

I’m a little ~cornfused~??? When you post, aren’t you the one doing the talking?

So in effect, the poster is the teacher (giving an opinion) and the reader is the learner (or the one who validates the opinion)??? So shouldn’t you be reading more and posting less???

Just kidding. I know, you learn from the replies. Sorry for being too technical, however I know what you mean --- it’s implied.
