You have torsion bars in the front. Sounds more like worn out shocks to me. If you are going to lower it, I would go with either Edelbrocks or Monroe Sensatracs. Edelbrock makes a set that are dialed in for lowered vehicles. You might want to lok at those.

I am lowered 3", and I run the Monroes....

I like the 3" drop. The drop, along with good shocks and sway bars - that makes all the difference in the way your Explorer will handle. Yes, the ride does not have as much room to allow for clearance, but the overall handling makes up for it. My X does not ride any worse than a stock X on stock setup. It is just tighter and firmer becasue of the setup I have.

The Bilsteins would be a good set to go with also.

As far as price - I went to Auto Zone and bought a 3" block set for $25. Installed it, and dropped the torsion bars on the front. Then $50 at the alignment shop for an alignment and cambers. So basically $75 and I was done with lowering it...

so all you did to lower the front of the truck was adjust your torsion bars..thats it?!?...you didnt have to get new ones(FYI the reason i ask is my friend lowered his old truck, it had torsion bars he had to get a new set) but if thats all i got to do then SWEEEET..CHEAP mod lol...got any new pictures of your ride lowered??
