I haven't gotten around to change my oil a 2nd time. I've heard from others to get the dealer to change it the first time, that Ford puts them on really tight, after that you can do it yourself easily.
Ugh. They must have torqued that filter on TIGHTLY from the factory, but I'm having a really hard time.
I'm just short of stabbing it with a screwdriver and prying it off that way.
I want to avoid purchasing a metal end cap filter wrench simply because I'm going to relocate the filter and wouldn't have a use for the end cap afterwards.
About the only way I was able to get mine off was with a metal strap-type wrench. And yes it was on very tight, actually ended up crushing the filter before it came off......
