7.3 powerstroke charging problem need help
I was wondering if anyone has any one can help me. I have a 1997 powerstroke 7.3 that has a charging problem. First of all a few weeks ago the alternator froze up so I replaced it with a new one. A few days later the truck started not holding a charge so i replaced the alternator a second time. Now it is dooing it again the truck is not holding a charge. Can this be a problem with the isolator or what ? if any one has a sugestion please let me know thanks.

do you still have the original batteries? do they check out good? it might be the batteries, or possibly the voltage regulator. do you get a battery warning light after you start the truck? does it go on while decelerating and on with accelerating?
