how hard is your bronco to steer? is it death-grip on the steering wheel sawing it back and forth just to keep it on the road, or is it litterally auto-pilot? my bronco (no lift, stock size tires)has the saginaw pump on it, and it drives good, but i never got to try out driving w/ the stock pump.
mine steers with this thing called a wheel, its really cool it goes right in front of the driver. You turn this wheel thing (some call it a steering wheel, go figure) in the direction u wanna go.
Mine is pretty easy to steer, i can turn it into a walmart parking space with cars on both sides going down the wrong direction without any problems. Thats with 31 inch tires, lol.
No problem steering, not like a high end sports car, but, yo, its a truck. I would like to improve on the turning radius, but I don't think much can be done there.
My 1984 steers easily with 32" BFG A/T's. I think the area where you will see a big difference with the Saginaw pump is when you wheel... The stock pump isn't that good for wheeling, I have one on my 1986 Bronco beater which has 33" swampers
ok, so how do all your broncos steer (yes, with that round thing in front of the driver) off road, im just trying to get an idea of how much the conversion helps
I would like to improve on the turning radius, but I don't think much can be done there.

Don't know, but broncos have a very tight steering radius already.
I think we have a tighter radius than a 4-wheel turning danali.
I like beating brand new rigs with my 20 year old technology. It gives you a warm feeling insaide.
I have a '94 Bronco. Anything different on them from the early '80's? Sometimes I drive my wifes J30t. That thing can turn on a dime. Maybe just spoiled from her turning radius. Happy Holidays to all !!
I have a 79 with 33 inch tires. Mine turns great. Its got a bit of play in it, but thats for another day. I still have lots to do, and Im not to sure if Im gonna keep it.
