spark plug gap

spark plug gap
auto zone only had 8 motocraft plugs, so i bought bosch platinum , part no. 6241 a little over 1.00 each. my question is, they were gaped 60 thousands. seems like alot .how long will these plugs last? should i have waited one day for motorcraftplugs? 99 F-250 SD V-10 reg. cab nurf bars alum. wheels

I gapped my recently replaced plugs at .055" The old ones coming out with 80k on them were at .065" and the ground electrode was starting to errode.
I'd put yours down to .055" before I installed the them. Do yourself a favor and replace all the rears now, when you get the remaining two, put them in the two front holes, just to make things easier on yourself. I also took off the intake pipe between the air filter and throttle and things opened up like the grand canyon.
