Rear Springs Replacements
I've got a few load-bearing springs on the back that are broken. I've talked to the local spring shop and they told me the springs were probably too old and brittle to repair and that I should find some that are used. YEAH RIGHT!!!!! I don't think this guys tried to find used parts for something this old. My question is, is there any other truck that I can get some rear 2.5" springs off of to replace the old ones? Right now if I wanted to carry some firewood i'd have to make multiple trips just to get one truck load of firewood.

are you speaking of your 69 f100? if so arent they 2.25" springs? if your truck really has 2.5" I would look at some of the newer ford half tons and measure them up with yours... be carefull though, even thought they might be the same overall length the center bolt on the spring is in diffrent places depending on year and wb and model.
