'03 Expy Questions
I have a 2003 Expy 4.6 2WD.
1) Do I have a cabin air filter? I can't find anything about it in my manuel, but when I took my truck in for an oil change the Ford guy said it needed to be replaced at 15,000 miles.
2) He also told me to replace the air and fuel filters. I checked the warrenty schedules and it said it wasn't due until 30,000 miles. I did change the air filter (since it was easy)---should I worry about the fuel filter at only 15,000 miles?
3) Is the Ford guy trying to scam me?
4) When I accelerate from a stop with the wheels turned to the left I hear a grinding? noise coming from the front end. I have seen posts about 4X4 with front end noises but never a 2WD. The tires will rub in either direction when you crank the wheels hard (like I have to in order to get in and out of my driveway!), but this grinding only happens when turning left and starting forward.

2) air as needed, fuel 15k for diesel, 30k for gas
3) maybe
4) sounds like what they call a steering stop-see if the left spindle is contacting the lower control arm, prevents wheel from turning to far.
