Exaust tail pipe problem
My 97 f-150 s tail pipe is right in front my passengerside rear wheel and im sick and tired of it being there!!! Is it ok to re-route the tail pipe or is there a reason why its there. And which direction should i reroute for looks and less hassle.

You can reroute the tailpipe without any problems. 1997 was the only year Ford had the tailpipe in front of the tire because too many people were complaining about the finish on the wheels being ruined by the exhaust. In '98 they moved the tailpipe behind the tire. They were replacing the exhaust on '97's that were still under warranty, but only if you complained to the dealer. Where to reroute the exhaust is up to you;if you want the stock look go behind the passenger wheelwell, or run duals out the back for a custom look.
