All ready for the snow
>snow when you and I are suntanning or boating! he he he
>!
Ah..yes...lovely Barffalo NY...Actually we make the news for snow, but it seems it all hits at once. The rest of the winter is pretty mild
>Nice setup Yeti!Oh nice truck too you better chk you front
>hubs looks like ones missing!!!!!!!!!!!!
>
Don't worry, what Haroutd does't know is that all ESOF trucks have electronic beacons on them, and I track all of them here on my laptop whith the radar screen!! I see them comming for miles, then just move my truck to a different local!!
>some pics of the truck, the way I run it in the winter.
>We built the rear plow about 10 years ago, it's been on 5
>different trucks so far.
What's up with those taillights? Are those covers? Does the turn signal flash orange?
I think the orange is becuase of the flash on the camera.
I will probably look for another brand to swap them out with this spring.
But I in turn get to go where it's warm!!!!!!!
One thing to remember, It get VERY epensive when you start plowing things other than snow!! I don't think Western recomends plowing caddies and golf carts
>If I lock in my ESOF here and make the drive, by the time I get
>there, I am SURE my ESOF would be engaged by then, wouldn't
>it.........well wouldn't it????
If I was a gambling man, I would say yes, by the time you got here most likely your ESOF would be engaged, but I still don't know if Forty would let you play!!

I don't know about warm though, it is in the high fifties tonight. Time to crank up that heater! I bet if I agree to play nice...and to lock Forty's MANUAL hubs so my feet get wet and cold...I think we can make a deal.....I promise I won't destroy any Lincolns! Maybe a door ding or two, but I will not destroy 'em
>tonight.
Awwww, thats terrible, I hope you make it!! Was a balmy 34* here last night

>I promise I won't destroy any Lincolns! Maybe a door ding or two, but I will not destroy 'em
Last year, a house jumped out in front of me, it's amazing how that siding just peels right off!!!!

>Florida. where do we go to beat the COLD? That's it....CUBA.

Your gonna have to definetly manually lock your hubs to get there!!!
One of the funniest things I've seen was a coworker break off a water outlet valve on the side of a building in -35C. Water and steam everywhere! By the time we got the water shut off by the city we had an olympic size hockey in the parking lot with ice about 4" deep at the edges and around 10" in the center.
We had to use a concrete breaker to clean up the lot!Moral of the story, NEVER push TOWARD a building.

What Waxy won't admit is that it wasn't his "coworker" -- not unless Waxy has multiple personality disorder...
In any case, Yeti, that is an awesome setup. If my ESOF fails and leaves me stranded in the snow, I'll know who to call!
I was up at the vacation house when the snow had settled earlier today. I decided to get a plow setup on my truck right then & there, and used yours as a model. It took a long time (5 whole minutes) and a considerable drain on finances (2 plows @ $6.99 each, and a roll of duct tape) but I think I'm ready now.

(more pictures of this setup in my gallery; see the "Winter Follies" album)
I wanted to add the remote hydraulic option, but just didn't have any $$$ left for it. Maybe after I plow a driveway or 2 like this, I can afford to tie some rope to it & bring it in through the window like I wanted from the start.
This setup may not be as user-friendly or convenient as Yeti's, but I have ESOF so I'm not worried.
In case anyone else wants their truck equipped like mine, I can sell you a complete kit for only $250 -- a whole lot less than what Yeti paid (I bet he wishes he saw this before he wasted his money). Act now, and I'll even throw in an extra FREE roll of industrial adhesive fastening compound (aka duct tape)! Get a group order together, and I'll even discount further!
