Engine swap

I have a 1994 F150 6 cyl and would like to replace with a 94 Mustang GT engine. Will the harness connect to the Mustang engine and also the computer. Don

Sorry, I don't know, but what are you going to do with the 6?

I wouldn't think that the six computer would work on a v8, because i'd assume the computers are programed or designed to only fire the spark plugs and injectors that it was designed for.

The Mustang engine harness should plug into the firewall...you obviously need the computer though, but you ought to try the 351 route.

Going from 4.9 to 5.0 is a good bit of (bolt-in) work for that little increase in displacement.

I hope you are a Master Mechanic. You may be creating a back yard ornament. Sounds like alot of work and money.

I would probably try to get the engine installed and then find a good aftermarket computer/harness that will give you some flexibility when installing the electrical system. Good Luck
