Diesel

A co-worker and I were talking, and I thought that at one point in the 80s that Ford made a Ranger with a Diesel. Just wanted to know if I was right or wrong, thought it was also a 2.3. Just wanted to know for sure. Thanks.

Yep.

Within the 85-87 model range.

Mitsu made that 2.3L, impossible to find parts now, and the mpg rating was almost as high as the hp rating.

The 1988 model had the diesel option. They're like a unicorn: you can't find one and when you do you can't get your hands on it.

Wonder if thats the same diesel they used in the escorts?Cause I know where I can get a escort with a diesel in it.
