hey i own an 88 bronco and i was looking into geting some custom racing seats for it on ebay. it says it comes with sliders. do i need to get custom brackets for it to match the sliders?? or are all the brackets the same? whats the best thing to do?
Cobra,
Ask the seller how the seats come? Seats come all different ways. But even if you need sliders, they are not hard to fab. Any metal fab shop can do them pretty darn quickly.
Go to a junkyard and get one extra set of sliders off a Bronco for $10.00 (or free if they know you). Then bolt them with 1/4 inch grade 8 hardware to the new seat supports. Then when everything fits well, take your old seat out and pop in the new one in 10 minutes. Make sure the new one is centered correctly and you are not too near the door.
