Transfer case swap
I have a 99 ranger, 4.0L, 5spd with a BW 1354 electric shift transfer case. I took the case apart to replace seal on front output and discovered the prev owner had broken the slot in the case for the rear ouput main bearing spring retainer. So I found a BW 1354 elec shift transfer case from a 2002 ranger, but the wiring harness has one less wire in it. The 99 has a brown wire that appears to go to the magentic clutch coil, but the 2002 does not have this wire. Is this a serious problem that will prevent me from using the 02 t-case or am I just paranoid?
